BJJ All Levels classes
All Level classes (Gi and No Gi) are designed to cover a broad spectrum of fundamental and advanced topics and themes – the program will allow students to focus on fundamental themes and concepts, while also allocating time to explore a variety of positions and techniques across Gi and No Gi Jiu-jitsu.
The structure of the class would usually be as follows (although that may vary slightly): a light warm-up, followed by the study of a theme or technique (via methods such as drilling and situational sparring of varying intensities). There will usually be a few rounds of free rolling to finish up the class.
Gi attire: Gi and belt (a rashguard worn inside the gi is recommended). The gi can be of any colour.
No Gi attire: Rashguard, shorts and leggings (or Rashguard + Gi Pants). Please avoid clothing that has zips or pockets.
Roll or Drill Rounds + Q&A
This time slot is used by students to free roll (spar) or to drill the techniques or positions of their choice. At Eureka, we put emphasis on self-learning and development and encourage our students to take ownership of their journey. Thus, we want to provide mat time where students can troubleshoot and workshop positions and drill techniques. One of the funnest part of jiu-jitsu is to test out learnt techniques and strategies through live rolling, and so we also want to encourage students to utilise this time to roll with their partners in a safe manner. The instructor present will structure the open mat time and group people to the best of their ability and will be available for Q&A’s.
